I want Wuthering Waves to do so well, that MiHoyo feels threatened to the point that they end up actually having to reward Genshin players properly for all the time, money and efforts they put on the game for such a long time. There is a reason why Genshin is so popular.
People just look at one aspect of the game and run with it. But it is a culmination of many things.
Endgame and a generous reward will definitely not cut it in terms of sustain.
Genshin has a good world building and lore. Phenomenal music. (Subjective) Good character design. Somewhat decent story and a very (and I mean very) clean UI and controls.
It is very user friendly. If WW wants to stay in the market and thrive, they need to match if not out perform Genshin in at least 3 of those.

One last thing, if your definition of a "good" game hinges on how generous the devs are (especially in a gaccha game) you might wanna reconsider if you're becoming an addict.

The problem isn't how good they are, the problem are they great enough to persuade people to either play both game or get them to quit Genshin, because let's face it Genshin has taken roots now and alot of people are hesitant to start over brand new and just abandon their accounts, this is one of the major reasons why Wildrift are struggling to compete against Mobile Legends, Riot release them to late and ML player base has taken roots.
