There is a lot more to the story. He died after 83 days and the doctors kept him alive for his family who was living in the hospital at that time, to study the effects of radiation and because they promised that they would do everything they could to keep him alive.

What they did to him while they “observed” the effects of Acute Radiation Syndrome was downright criminal and inhumane. I read they literally had cameras in every orifice to witness the effects of radiation on his internal organs as slowly liquified all while he was conscious. He begged for them to let him die or kill him all while they did the exact opposite in trying to keep him alive as long as possible to study. 😓
