The IPA has partnered with the Fraser Institute to deliver important new research which takes a detailed look into the Essential Scholars who have helped shape the world we live in.
This first Essential Scholar that we will delve into is John Stuart Mill.
JS Mill was a 19th century philosopher, political economist and, later, a member of British Parliament known for championing liberty, individualism and women's rights.
Throughout his career, JS Mill championed many causes, including women’s rights, extending voting rights to minorities and individual rights.
One of JS Mill’s most important contributions was his advocacy for mandatory and widespread education for all citizens. Download the audiobook to learn more.
