This is a tough issue. If you think about it, Social Wellfair sounds good, but people get addicted to it and stop trying to progress in life. On the other hand, it helps if you know that you can always fall back on some sort of welfair system, which allows you to take risks. All in all, I think less government is good, but there should always be some sort of safety net. The problem is however, that people abuse the system too much which defeats its purpose.

this whole milk thing is exactly whats happening in south korea. I mean literally, involving milk.

In my view, the role of government should be to regulate morality rather than monetary policy. Rather than fix the price of milk, the government should punish those who sabatoge milk production or refuse to produce milk -- given that their prices are fair.

In other words, the farmers must lose their freedom inexchange for Catholic style behavior control through pubishments for unethical behavior. In Catholic schools, students do not have freedom. If they misbehave, they get whipped.
