I really relate deeply to what you said about lacking motivation to work because of the fear of failing. Its 'creators curse' I believe, being vulnerable enough to be responsible even for your downfalls. How I intend to overcome it is to steadily build confidence in my work by just being present in the day to day. As well as giving myself grace to make mistakes and feel the negatives that come with growth - I remind myself that it's all progress 🐢💚

Just got out of a rut recently and I realized that sometimes I lose motivation when I get bored of doing the same thing over and over and over again. Changing things up and taking a break from my daily tasks helps me feel motivated again. Great video! :)

Such practical and relevant tips!I have been in a rut since 3-4 months, feeling low, not taking care of myself and eating junk, but today i decided to come out of my comfort zone, i cleaned my apartment, did laundry, took a shower, had my fav breakfast and watched this video, i am feeling super good! Now it’s time for me to work towards my goals🧚🏼‍♀️

🔴WHY you lack motivation:
-FEAR: (ex: fear of failing)
✅Solution: you have to face it and overcome it
- DISCONNECTION FROM SELF: not doing core habits to stay in tune with your intuition such as
meditation or journaling
✅Solution: Do those core habits again
-COMFORT ZONE: you operate too much in it, it’s safe and easy, but it means LESS energy coming in.
✅ Solution: do something new or get in a new environment
BONUS TIP: lack of motivation can be a REDIRECTION- maybe you’re not feeling that zest for a reason
✅Solution: maybe try a new path

✨HOW TO PICK YOURSELF BACK UP:✨
- hit a low point where your SELF AWARENESS kicks in & you’re ready to change
- gather KNOWLEDGE and INSPIRATION: organize ideas + plans; ask yourself what YOU can stick to

genuinely feel like you might've read my mind or something for this one. thank you for reminding me again and allowing me to find my spark to my fire! :)
so for the past few weeks, I've just been accepted as a transfer student at USC and in a way, I was happy in the sense that I feel like my hard work has paid off. For the past year, I've been studying in New York and have been hustling hard because of the culture, and during then, I felt alive and on my feet all the time. Now that I'm back home for the summer, I want to create my own art again but I started to question myself 'why do i do what i do? why am i doing art... and why is it important to me?'
I can't exactly say that I've found an answer in the past few weeks of my reflection but at points, i wanted to do art because i felt anxious about not doing anything. but when i did art, i just wasn't happy with what i created. However, i think it's okay to allow yourself time to not feel motivated. it's fine to have moments of not doing anything.

I have been putting off exercising because I have also always heard that the best time to exercise is in the morning. I am just not a morning person though and Can completely relate to what you said. I’m going to start working out in the afternoons/evenings and with more confidence that it’s what works for me.

I lacked motivation to work out for about a year. I was still finding movement most days (walking and yoga), but I hit a plateau because I was doing the same things for so long. I decided to join a gym 3 minutes down the street and now take a weight lifting class 2x/week! It's totally different than what I'm used to, but that's what keeps me showing up because it's exciting and new. Happy body, happy mind. And I still take walks and practice yoga which is the perfect complement to weights :)

Its so beautiful that the first step to get out of a rut is to be aware when you hit 'that' low point, and you just build your growth upwards from that moment and i really like the way you adress it ❤

Thank you so much Aileen for still trying to post even though it has been hard for you to find motivation. I have been struggling recently to find motivation for life in general, and I realized that I was disconnected with myself. I have never been good at tracking my progress, but I’m going to try and be better with that this time around. You are always so inspiring! Love you girl! 💕

As a graduating student, I'm thankful for this video, school just finished and no more homeworks until next school year and lately I've been feeling overwhelmed and unmotivated. It feels like I'm back to zero, I don't even know how I manage to graduate and survive lmao
