As for Horse Meat, I'm French but live in Switzerland, and here Horse meat is cheaper than beef; almost everyone eat horse ( well, except vegans of course :D )

Oh and for banning Ketchup in French  School I don't know where you heard that, but it's wrong. Ketchup is not served in every meals, but it's not banned...

If a horse is your pet obviously you wouldn't eat it, I think everyone thinks like that, but if the meat comes from a farm that specializes in horse meat I can't see why I wouldn't it .-. btw horse meat is healthier and probably with more useful proteins than cow meat and its not rough... it is very soft and tasteful :3 better than cows and other meats

I actually live in France and there is no restrictions about having ketchup.
And judging by the junk food we're getting here,   there's no such things as "French Cuisine" in french cafeterias.
