Like the fake jump scare of "Look behind you Rose" so much scarier then if there would have been something behind her. This movie was brilliant with its psychological torments and the atmosphere, so well done.

I work in a movie theater. For some reason, this movie was incredibly loud when we had it. You could hear everything even from one of the smaller theaters from the other side of the building. Whenever this scene would happen, I'd jump because I kept confusing it for the actual building alarm. Never failed.

When they said "Turn around Rose.." I was just waiting for the jump scare. Bracing for it and then the phone ringing got me GOOD

This is such great writing and storytelling. So much more effective to do your “scary” scene like this, rather than the way too common jump scare that everyone can predict from a mile away. Making the main character an unreliable narrator is so much fun when done right. And this movie is done right.

It was nice of the Smile monster to check up on Rose after the alarm went off. Maybe it's not such a bad monster

The reason this horror movie was so great was that you never knew what was real or what was a hallucination. Rose was completely isolated and helpless as no one else believed her, completely at the mercy of the entity. You could never feel safe or relax at any moment.

WHOA! I just noticed when the caller says “look behind you” you can see a shot of the portrait behind her and it kinda resembles the entity we see don’t it? Creepy! Man thinking about this film again it was for sure scary!
