This proves Joel is best character of the whole movie, is a shame he lost Rose that monster and everybody treated her like shit and Joel was the only one who believed Rose when he found out himself there's an invisible monster after her. Even before everything he didn't care who's crazy or not he's willing to help anyone.

This is the part of the movie which I can sense that Rose was so scared for her life, then realizing how important Joel was. This scene really got me😢. I love Kyle Gallner in every role he portrays he always give justice on it.

After seeing Smile 2, i now really wish more than anything that Joel just slammed the door in Rose’s face when she first came a knockin’. He didn’t deserve the fate he got.

It made me wonder why she left this guy and wound up engaged to another. Then I see how the fiancé is not someone willing to go the distance and talk about her problems. Joel, we hear, at the end wanted her to drop the emotional barriers and she wasn't willing. Since there was a part of her life she couldn't face, she was content with that but this entity forces her to confront it and she realizes who was most committed to helping her.

The smile curse is pretty much unbeatable sure you can transfer it to another but without splitting hair you are mostly likely going to prison afterwards, and is that really better. Similar to a ju on curse, once you got it you are pretty much fucked.

You can try to be alone but then the curse will just bide its time until it gets a witness.
