Transistors !! These lil components are how we build logic gates and are pretty much the basis of every electronic device. So cool! Here's a quick overview of how they work and why they are so awesome 😃
(this one is an NPN, PNP have the collector and emitter switched, base is the same)

I have not seen a coin battery bread board adapter before.

Thanks for these basic simple circuits you started posting, Ive been out of touch with these. Time to bring out the bread board again!!!

🤯 I wanted to do a music activated led project with my kids but pulled back because I couldn't explain how it worked. This info was exactly what I needed to make it make sense. Thank you for your quick and comprehensive explanation.

Are you a superhero?
Cause you just saved my semester and helped me learn a knowledge I won't forget anytime soon 🙂

Thanks so much, as someone new to robotics it’s very confusing learning what everything does because people keep using complicated terms but now I get it

Thankyou for making it simple to understand

One important note: BJTs are NOT voltage controlled. They are current controlled. The appropriate circuit model would be a current controlled current source. MOSFETs for example, are voltage controlled current sources.

Yuhuuuu, i can also feel it inside my veins

In reality electrons flows from emitter to base... but because P region is too small most of the electrons starts to flow to collector.

What you described is conventional flow and it definitely should be mentioned because it can confuse a lot of people include me.

want more videos on transistors... it really confuses me while learning transistors... never understood it completely...

Pins are opposite!
But depends upon which non u r using

I have a project with 2n2222 transistor, that the purpose of it is to connects Raspberry Pi pins to Stepper motor driver. If I'm not mistaken maybe the purpose of the transistor is to control the 5V DC current/signal of the driver using 3.3v GPIO of the Pi. But I'm still don't understand why using that specific type of transistor and also idk why it purposely was just to make a sinking the current to the ground of the Pi

Would you say that the term "voltage gated ion channels" is applicable to transistors?

Can I ask something? Electrons flow from - not + right? So why are we getting small voltage from +, to the base?
