Is it safe to use cpu thermal paste on the n/s-bridge heatsink? Whatever was on there before wasn't thermal paste. I'm still not sure what it is tbh. I've read that it's glue, plaster, or some adhesive mix between thermal padding and thermal paste. I'm wondering if that NX5 thermal padding compound might be a good solution... I just took off my northbridge heatsink thinking it was just old thermal paste under it. Looks like I'm in a friggen pickle now.
