15:06 ~ my full respect to that captain... no stress, just chilling by watching the ocean like watching a movie at home... 💕

That footage of the water going through the Atacama town was terrifying. Well done to the gutsy lady who stood there and filmed it so there's a record of it

I will say it again, I love your videos. You explain what happened and the location then show a bit of the video, then show the entire video, not just a little clip where you can’t figure out what happened. Good narration without laughing or babies crying in the background and no stupid comments. I look forward to your videos. Thank you for posting and the excellent narration. ❤

Those yurts in Mongolia did a lot better than I expected.

The dome shape of those "tents" are great in high winds. I'd venture to sat a typical balloon framed house taking that direct of a hit probably would've had significant more damage.

I can’t hardly believe how calm in video one these people were being! Also how well the yurts withstood the tornado! AMAZING!!

I'm from Panama City, Florida. We got hit by a Cat 5 hurricane 4 years ago. Scariest thing that I've ever been through. It looked like a massive bomb went off afterwards. Pine trees and telephone polls were snapped like toothpicks. You literally couldn't see the roads because the trees were laid down everywhere. It was insane

Derecho in Iowa, there were two, one in August 2020 and December 2021, no damage at my home a friend had a tree go into hers, scariest thing I've lived through.

A good portion of the cost in Iowa was farm damage. Grain storage bins are expensive and the storm demolished so many of them

Been offshore for 30 years and North Sea storms are horrendous 27 meter waves and that’s no exaggeration when the ship goes down with the wave it feels like it ain’t coming back up, ,but wouldn’t change the last 30 years for anything the experience was thrilling but jumping out of aeroplane at 15000 feet 8000 free fall was a lot better have fun people live life to fullest and don’t forget to do a bucket list

I think I remember the Jacksboro tornado. I live close by, a coworker of mine actually lived in Jacksboro. I remember her getting a call at work. There was a lot of crazy stuff going on at the time, I think there were also big fires around the same time of year.

seeing the sun shine through right after a wall is knocked down from a tornado is usually a bad thing.

After the '98 Labor Day Storm, a derecho, in Central New York we were without power for almost two weeks. We were awakened by constant lightning and thunder and went to the basement. A few houses down the street a large maple was blown onto a house, then one of the family's cars was picked up and placed on the tree's trunk.

Des Moines is a french name so it's pronounced without the s. I thought you were pronouncing derecho wrong but i looked it up and you made me learn something too.

Been through a derecho before. July 1, 1997 a derecho went through my then hometown of Maple Lake, MN. We had winds sustained at 115 mph with gusts up to 150 mph. We were lucky on our energy coop we got power back in 18 hours whilst 85% of the city was without power for 7 days. The oddest thing I remember about that storm was the sound the wind made. First off it hit as one big wall right as the rain started and lasted at peak intensity for 45 minutes. The sound it made was an unearthly loud low hum almost like the sound of an idling diesel or a generator. Only after power came back on did we realise how loud that wind was. In order to listen to minute by minute updates we had the half basement TV on, and when the power came back on we realised we had to turn that TV all the way up to 100 to even barely be able to hear it over the wind. Who knew that simple wind could be that incredibly loud or low frequency.

We experienced our first and I hope last derecho. Southern Ontario doesn’t usually get those types of storms. The wind was wild, and there was a lot of damage. 🇨🇦

This is more than just a video – it's a powerful testament to the unpredictable and scary side of our planet.
