14:04 That's one powerful lightning bolt. She's so lucky she didn't get electrocuted or injured by flying debris. I'm so glad she's okay, but I can't stop laughing at the cat. It's as fast as lightning 😂

I love these storm videos, they are fascinating and terrifying at the same time

I’m also the one who’s always outside watching when severe t-storms hit! But a lot of times I feel horrible for enjoying them as much as I do. I truly hate seeing anybody lose their lives, their loved ones, homes, or get injured.

So a lot of these freak storms are quiet recent, that's scary

I remember living in California when I felt a massive earthquake, I was in a parking garage under a 15 story building, I was getting into my convertible, which I had the roof down. The quake was so strong that the the floor above me collapsed, I managed to survive by getting under the car, I was lucky the car didn't collapse on me. I had to get dug out by rescue teams, I was severely dehydrated and malnourished, but thanks to God I survived. When I got out from under the car, a support beam had fallen on the driver's seat and I looked up, if there had been another aftershock the first floor would have caved in. Overall 57 cars including mine had been crushed or destroyed.

As someone who lives in Texas, I was so happy to see the record breaking snow from last year. But, as someone who adores electronics, I was a bit sad that the power went out. It was a cool experience though, and my mom was cracking me up, because she HATES snow! Pretty unlucky for her!

at my house, for some reason it was sunny outside, but then it started raining super hard and hailstones started falling from the sky. The hailstones were almost as big as golf balls and when I saw them, I nearly had a heart attack lol

I had a hail storm during my time in Norfolk, Va. in my Navy years. Pea gravel sized. My newly repainted car looked like someone took a ballpeen hammer to it! But no glass broken. Had to strip, putty, sand and repaint the car.

4 days ago in Brazil, there was a thunderstorm that cut all power in the city, and made most WiFi connection impossible. During the rain, I was in PE class and it was so strong that it broke the metal roof of the PE building and rain was coming inside. We were all scared of the rain breaking the roof and the lights falling off.
We also saw the school grass field filled with white cubes, so many it looked like a carpet.
My mom's car windshield almost broke.
i thought my dogs died.
thankfully theyre still alive

I calculated that the hail from time: 16:36 in the video had the momentum equivalent to a 1 lb (.454 kg) weight traveling at roughly 6.142 mph (9.885 kph). This would definitely be painful for the construction workers and likely injurious if they had tried to run to a nearby building for better shelter.

Please note: density estimates of hail vary depending on the weather report of data and their respective hail sample compositions; the avg radius of the hail in the video clip is merely estimated by the video’s speaker. The density of hail is difficult to accurately estimate and thus, my calculations could be off by a substantial margin.
