for those who had disabled their Local Area connection, you can easily enable it again by opening control panel --> netwrok and sharing center --> Change adapter settings --> double click your connection to enable it again

When I go to network and sharing center --> Change adapter settings --> | The entire page is empty so my local area connection doesn't even show up there... (EVERY WIRE CONNECTED FROM ROUTER TO COMPUTER IS CONNECTED, AND IS FIRMLY SOLIDLY PLACED IN....).

My Laptop Acer E1-530 where WLAN is visible and I connect internet. no problem. but Local Area Connection is not showing.

there is a way, but what you have to do is hook up an ethernet cable, and then get internet on that;)
