You don’t have to worry about vitamin c killing your gains. The review in question concluded that “there is evidence of potential negative effects on training adaptation.” However, in practice you really only need to think about the major factors for muscle growth. The main takeaway for me from this video is this being more evidence that eating a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables is better than trying to make up for a poor diet with supplements.

This is weird. I remember hearing (not reading, tbf) about a study that said that ibuprofen at normal doses didn’t impede MPS… but supplementing vitamin C does? 😕

I wouldn’t worry too much about things like that. As long as you’re getting in water, calories, and enough protein and your muscle building stimulus is high you’re going to grow. I’m actually plant based and do HIT style bodybuilding training (high intensity training) and I’m still growing.
