1:20 The trick is to use a variable speed jigsaw. If you don't have that, you've got to keep the feed rate very high to avoid melting. I've seen liquid hand soap recommended as a lubricant/coolant, but I haven't tried that yet myself

Great video.. Is plexiglass hazardous when cutting? I would wear mask and eye protection but was wondering if this was more dangerous than just cutting wood.

that's extruded acrylic it actually is harder to work with than cast. look for the one with the brown paper on it, that's ideal.
