I would like to do my kitchen cupboards using this method. Can I protect it with a varathene or varnish that is a satin finish? I don't want to ruin the soft look of the paint. I love your videos! Very well done thank you!

The ebony stain gave my project a really gray color.. Much more than what I wanted. I used a white color by valspar in eggshell.. Should I have used a higher gloss than eggshell?

Will this staining process work well over chalk paint?  I am afraid it is going to go on but not wipe back off as it did in your video because of the chalky consistency of the paint.  Thanks for any tips you may have for doing this with chalk paint.

Great information! It has been a week since I applied the stain technique and its still tacky and wipes off with little pressure. How do I fix that?
