I hope they add cosmetic loadouts that you can save. And when you die it randomly chooses a different loadout. Gives a better feeling that you are playing a different Helldiver when you died.

My personal favourite is the FS-11 Executioner heavy armor set, it lets me feel like i'm chunky and well armored but i hope they do get that armor rating fixed. Till then i'll just enjoy being the shiniest target on the team who slow runs half the fight out of breath haha.

The new cw-9 white wolf armor looks great with the champion of the people helmet and the fallen hero's vengeance cape, it's what i'm currently rocking right now.

The trailblazer helmet also buffs whatever armour you are wearing to make its speed and stamina better.

I personally rock the SC-37 Legionnaire armor with the CE-35 Trench Engineer Helmet, and the basic cape.

I like the orange contrast from the helmet matching with the shoulders, and I feel like nobody else wears the armor either. Plus, I find it really hard to take off the Enhanced throwing passive— just helps with eagle strikes so much!

The CE-81 JUGGERNAUT is my all-time favorite armor especially with the super citizens cape and the SA-25 STEEL TROOPER helmet is greaI really recommended that combo.

Steel Trooper Helmet, Exterminator Armor, and standard black cape is how I roll out every mission.

I love the Hero of the Federation armor. The black and gold especially with the winged shoulder pad gives off serious space SS officer vibes (say what you will, those MFs had style, and have had heavy influence on the fashion of various villains in film and game history). Especially when paired with the light gunner helmet you mentioned, which has a very WWI/Krieg vibe from warhammer 40k militarum.

CE-07 Detonation expert + CW-22 Kodiak Helmet and the default black cape until the reviewdiver helmet releases is also a nice combo

Some of my personal favorites are:

CE-07 Demolition Specialist armor with the SA-25 Steel Trooper helmet & bastion of integrity cape
(It just looks cool)
EX-03 Prototype 3 armor with trailblazer scout helmet & botslayer cape.
(I feel like some kind of desert warrior)
CE-27 Ground Breaker armor with the trailblazer scout helmet & cape.
(it's like a beefed up version of the scout armor)
FS-05 Marksman Armor with the CE-27 Ground Breaker Helmet + Harbinger of true equality
(It makes me want to throw flames)

One of the best combinations I did was using the SC-37 Legionnaire body armor, SC-15 Drone Master, and the Foesmasher cape

Personally one of my fav combo right now is the dreadnought armor and light gunner helmet, i just think the tow add to the hole big brute look as well as puts the dread in dreadnought

Legionnaire Body Armor + Drone master helmet for a pilot type fit
CE-81 Juggernaut Body Armor + BO8 Light Gunner Helmet for a black ops look

Gaslit myself into thinking I like the medium armor +2 grenade buff just because it looks cooler.
