Kellin Quinn did all the vocals. Even the fry stuff. His vocal range is impressive.
Also, people (including myself) commonly think that its a girl singing when Kellin does vocals and they don't know better, glad to see the tradition continued.

If you thought this was heavy, you're not ready for "Break Through It All"

Another episode of "SEGA didn't have to go that hard for a Sonic the Hedgehog game, but they did."

Tomoya Ohtani was super proud of putting an 8-string guitar on the soundtrack, which is weird considering Ohtani is the synth hiphop guy from SA2. He's an incredibly versatile composer.

Boss themes and the main theme "I'm Here" are like this. (I love I'm Here btw)

Undefeatable has quickly become one of my favourite Sonic boss themes, Kellin Quinn killed it with his vocals on this track and the other Titan themes. With how hype Undefeatable is, you’d think it would be for a late game boss, but instead Tomoya Ohtani (the composer) decided to go hard on the first major boss instead.

The Titan bosses themes literally carried the whole ost album to top 10 US and worldwide Spotify ranking last year 😭

Sonic is such a joyous un-apologetic melting pot of genres. And like 99% of them are all amazing.

You know Sonic isn't messing around when this is the first boss theme. He's a man on a mission, and giganto was the perfect roadblock to display what his resolve looked like

Fun fact. The offical song on YouTube has over 10 million views and also on Spotify.

Sonic’s always balanced being this very marketable mascot character, while also having this far “edgier” side to him, for lack of a better word.

Games like Adventure 1/2, Black Knight, Unleashed- Tell stories with a lot of legitimate depth to them, and with games like these, Sonic’s grown this very stylish edge to him. It’s very shonen-y.

Sega neglected that side of Sonic for a very long time, but Frontiers feels like it’s equal parts “a breath of fresh air” and “a return to form” for what the large majority of hardcore Sonic fans have grown to love the series for.

The plot is somber, it deals with the concept of growth, mortality, and what it truly means to be remembered- and yet it’s been decades since these characters have even felt like themselves, and not just Mario-style mascots. It’s so refreshing, and the soundtrack is a reflection of this.

The music goes all over the place, from these beautiful, somber, sweeping orchestral movements, to fast-paced, bombastic-yet-gritty 2010s style EDM, to the intense heavy metal of the boss/main themes, to even mournful piano ballads.

Frontiers may not be perfect, but for all it does well it is an amazing game, and a stunning love-letter to the fans.

I have never had as much faith in the series as I do now, and I can’t wait to see if you’ll do any more Frontiers’ reactions, as theres so much to enjoy within its OST.

I was telling my metalhead coworker about the music in this game and my lead in was basically "do you know what Sonic the Hedgehog and Sleeping With Sirens have in common?" And it blew his mind

Undefeatable solidified in my mind that literally NO GENRE is off-limits when it comes to Sonic music. I look forward to the day they try some more obscure genres, like shoegaze or like math rock or something. Shit would be tight.

It's really just the Boss Fights that are like this. And this song just has one vocalist, which was indeed Kellin Quinn (A dude btw).
There are two more songs that are in the backlog, that feature Kellin. The rest of the soundtrack goes for a different vibe.
Also. Tomoya Ohtani (The Composer) said parts of Frontiers' Ost, use a 9-String guitar. Kinda have a feeling we know what parts now.

I just like seeing people’s initial reactions to this song because it’s almost always “this is insane”

Believe it or not, it's not *completely* unprecedented for Sonic to have guest musicians like Kellin Quinn. Back in the day, Johnny Gioeli was a hard rock vocalist for Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell, and it shows when you hear his vocals in What I'm Made of, Live & Learn and Never Turn Back; and in Sonic & the Black Knight, Marty Friedman, the lead guitarist for Megadeth, and Emma Gelotte and Tinna Karlsdotter, the vocalists from All Ends, collabed with Gioeli on the final boss song With Me; they also got Jared Riddick from Bowling for Soup to do Endless Possibility, the theme for Sonic Unleashed. Also, they got Tyler Smyth from Danger Kids to work on tracks for 2 Sonic games before this, and he was an opener for Sleeping with Sirens iirc, as well as collabed with Quinn on Find Your Flame for this game.

The whole Sonic Frontiers soundtrack is actually very diversified :] The big metal themes are for Boss-fights only and they stand out a lot. But the game is actually filled with other genres like EDM (that is for the short "fast-paced" levels set in a digital dimension), and more orchestral music using a bunch of diverse instrument for the open-wold area! IMO the themes of the islands (open-zones) are really overlooked as a whole and people usually go for the big vocal themes and the EDM music. Hoping you will eventually make the other Boss-themes!

the feeling of absolute SHOCK everyone had when they discovered this was the theme of the -first boss-, even as long time fans of the games, was amazing, it was like, a collective 'WHAT' because of how different it was from every other vocal track in a Sonic game to date, though we all agreed it was an incredible piece of music. My personal favourite is actually Break Through It All, but Undefeatable is a close second! Thank you for reacting to it, this was cool, you looked like you had a lot of fun with it! :)

Now imagine this playing as you're going up against 200 foot robot. He slammed you against a wall a few hours into the game, and you're right back in its face now. But now you hold all the power. And you're refusing to back down.

Actual life-changing experience

It's About Damn Time, "Breath Of The Sonic May Cry: Revengeance", had its daybew.

Also without spoilers:

Undefeatable: The best right off the bag.

Break Through It All: The best after multiple listens.

Find Your Flame: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance successor.
