Depending on the size, age and colors used in a tattoo, there are a number of different natural ways to fade or even eliminate unwanted body art:

1. Lemon Juice Salt Scrub

Simply squeeze out the juice of 1 fresh lemon and add 100g salt. Stir to dissolve the salt slightly and then dab onto the tattoo using a cotton swab. Rub the solution into the tattoo for at least 30 minutes, dabbing more solution onto the area repeatedly. The salt scrubs the skin allowing the lemon juice to fade the ink from deep within. Note that the process can be painful and could take multiple daily sessions in order to see any results.

2. Honey Salt Scrub

Honey has a wide range of health benefits and has also been found to be effective at fading tattoos. A solution of 1 tablespoon each of honey, salt, yogurt and aloe vera will provide an effective scrub cream. Apply the cream to the area and rub for 20 to 30 minutes everyday. Once again, the process can be uncomfortable but the soothing and healing effects of honey should alleviate the discomfort. It will take repeated daily sessions to notice any results.

3. Salt Scrub

Simply mix a strong solution of water and salt and apply liberally to the tattoo. Scrub with a loofah, foot file, pumice stone or another abrasive tool until the skin appears raw. This should take about 40 minutes of scrubbing. Not only can this process be painful, it may also cause a hardening or thickening of the skin in the area. The process should be repeated daily for the best results.

Unfortunately, most tattoo removal techniques, whether natural or not, will cause some discomfort and will require multiple sessions in order to successfully fade or entirely eliminate a tattoo.

Definitely works! I used the salt and lemon method and then dab with hydrogen peroxide after. I tried it on my eyebrow tattoo and saw it get lighter within only 10mins I still need to do more sessions to fully remove them.

So, I had tattoo on my face just 2 months and the tattoo artist did not perform it well so there are smudges, so I go researched Online and came across this video. I told myself I'm gonna try this one (referring to #1 Salt + Lemon) and tried it on with a Q-tip after making the solution. All I can say is it REALLY WORKS!!! I Promise, just be consistent with scrubbing for 30min, it really hurts and tiny bumps will appear but it will subside. To everyone ready this, it works. I've been using hydrogen peroxide with salt and I could honestly say it works, It has taken me a while to actually see my tattoo fully removing but it works !! You will see the tattoo fade little by little everytime you apply it

The common denominator in these remedies seems to be salt. I'm thinking it's probably the osmotic action of the salt that draws out the ink. If that's the case the hard rubbing or scrubbing would do more harm than good to your skin.

Looking for any updates for anyone that has done this salt and lemon method. I have to admit i was a total dumbass. Ordered a tattoo kit. Never did a tattoo in my life. And tried to go big from the very start. Kinda shouldnt have done that. So im wondering how successful this method actually is. And if so, tell me what to expect by trying this.
