Freckles are a result of an uneven increase in dark pigments (melanin) when your skin is exposed to UV rays. THey are not considered sun damage, they are an inherited feature.

I think this is sweet and a little confidence booster for us who were born with them. I got teased as a kid, mostly by adults oddly enough, and I was very embarrassed by my massive amount of freckles. Skip years later, the first conversation I had with my now husband, he told me he loved my freckles and it changed something inside of me. I have never felt so beautiful.

As someone born with freckles, in my childhood they were seen as ugly by my friends. They wouldn't say anything to me or my mom, but would call boys with them ugly.

the video of the girl getting freckles tattooed was actually very comforting. The voiceover was not to say the least. However, that’s ok it doesn’t matter what other people say.
