Hi guys I’m gonna share some tips and experience with y’all:) hopefully everyone finds this so that they can do this right and safely. So I used coconut oil and salt to scrub for 15-25 minutes and I put it on a small part of my tattoo (should’ve done all of it smh) and it actually turned red as if it were to bleed. Except it DIDNT bleed. The pain was bearable since I used actual coconut oil and not lemon. But if you feel more comfortable using lemon than go ahead. After that I washed the red part normally and put a bandaid over it. I took off the bandaid sometimes to let it breathe though. The scabbing was normal and I actually saw the tattoo ink rise up into the scab and it was lowkey disgusting (but I was excited:)). Soon after I was playing with my dog, he scratched the scab and it fell off and there was NO MORE TATTOO INK. But there was some scarring. I used mederma (a scar removal cream) to clear it up and thankfully, it all turned back into my normal skin. I suggest you guys use mederma or any scar removal cream because it does work. In conclusion, this method does work but you’ll need scar removal cream :)) good luck guys!
EDIT: I used makeup to cover up the other parts until I go back and scrape more skin off

I would also recommend: -After your done, clean with Isodyne (iodine povidone) to prevent any infection.
-Put a bandage on.
Iodine Povidone is avoided for tattoo aftercare because it soaks up color ink. Likewise, a bandage is avoided in tattoos because it soaks the ink out of the tattoo.
In any case, even if the suggestions do not work they will not hurt. At worst you will avoid any infection.

I just finished doing this, so for anyone who is wondering here is my experience, how I took care of the wound, and some general updates!
I did this on a small, dark grey, slightly faded stick and poke on my finger. Before I even began scrubbing I soaked my tattoo in warm water to help soften my skin and fasten the process of the scrubbing. It only took around 15 minutes in total to scrub off the first layers of skin. The wound is a dark red, and not at all patchy like the guy's on the video. I will say, the whole scrubbing experience was quite freaky and nerve-wracking, but definitely not as painful as I expected. I felt minor pain as I was scrubbing at first, then when my finger started to bleed like his it stung. But the longer I scrubbed, it became quite numb and I honestly could barely feel it. That in mind, it did sting quite badly when I took breaks in between (would not recommend) to rinse my tattoo off and get a new gauze. I then finished up by running the wound under warm water, spraying hydrogen peroxide on it, then lastly put a generous amount of polysporin and bandaged it up. It now feels very warm, my skin around it is quite pink and patchy and my tattoo area is a little swollen. It does sting very minimally, an easy pain to ignore. But I will advise you I have a high pain tolerance, so if you are someone who can't handle pain this might not be for you. When my wound hits air it stings quite a bit, so I'm going to keep it bandaged for a few days. Then I will let it air out for a while. When moving my finger it does sting a bit but like I said it's not to bad. If you have any questions ask away, I really couldn't find many helpful comments so I am hoping this is of use to you. I will update you tomorrow.

Yall i removed 2 small stick and pokes and it was painless. Just put salt on the tat, ice cube on top and let set for about 3 mins. It will leave a scab and later you just pick the scab off and the the tattoo will be removed with it :) happy healing

This method actually works! It hurt like hell but worked for me. It also left minimal scarring. Great video!

This is called salabrasion. I did a ankle tattoo with this method. I have to say it worked amazingly. I see a dermatologist and she said I had better results then she has seen with 5 laser treatments. Tips:. DO NOT use tap water. Use new gauze.

I used gauze that I had in a drawer for years and tap water. My leg blew up like a balloon within days and oozed pus for months. Seriously, keep it clean. I did mine on the couch over a towel. It has been 2 years and my skin has finally returned to normal. The pain was not bad though, if you can get a tattoo...you can do this.

My friends mom did this to her when she walked in with a tat at 13.. well, she poured salt on a half a lemon and scrubbed that ish bloody, and gone! Haha. I'm too weak for this.. interesting method tho!
