Progress? That’s like tellin’ me you only got your window smashed twice this week instead of four times.

Because no one reports it. Come on guys. Do your research.

Let me save some people the trouble, "since nothing is being done, people have stopped reporting break-ins."

The data might be skewed because victims feels it is pointless to report the crime. I was a victim. I did not reported it. I felt the police will do nothing. I just had my car window replaced. No whining. Realistic behavior. Your reporting is shallow and you kiss up to Breed.

I would think citizens are NOT reporting the break Ins. My friend who lives in the mission district had his catalytic stolen then a few weeks later, his back window broken. Both crimes he did not call it in. I asked why? He said I have no time to wait around for them. Both times when he woke up to go to work, the crimes were already committed after 3:30 am

You know what happens when you report property crime in San Francisco? You have to wait hours for a police officer to show up, and if they even do show up, they will tell you straight to your face that they won't catch the person who did it. I lived in SF for a decade and the reparations debate in city hall was the last straw for me.

Is it because everyone left? If the population dropped by 60%, I’m sure there will be 60% less cars to break into.

Well, I didn’t bother reporting a break-in that occurred at the Embarcadero. The city didn’t even care when numbers were sky-high for how many years.

If the stats went Up would you believe them or is it just that they went down that's bothering everyone

Lol, it just means car owners don’t bother reporting anymore

The words out. Everyone in the world knows by now that parking your car in San Francisco is an invitation for a break in.
