I have watched a few of these reaction videos about this song. Thank you very much. It is thought provoking. Why did she leave home? The answer is in the last chorus. Fun is the one thing that money can't buy. Speaking for myself, my parents survived the great depression of the 1930's. My father survived the Battle of the Coral Sea during World War Two. They were kind Christian hearted people and I thank them for that. But they never knew me. They worked hard to accomplish much. But, they didn't know how to have fun.

It's one of my favorite Beatles songs, but I was shocked by something else. The girl in the clip 01:11 3:21, Linnea Heacock, who is the heroine of the movie "Taking off"(1971), looks a lot like my daughter who is now the same age. I quickly found the movie and sadly realized that she is 10-11 years older than me..

One of the best songs Paul and John had written a real masterpiece, they discibe the problems between the younger generation and the oder generation. *SHE'S LEAVING HOME* (Ella se fue de casa) es una canción bellísima de The Beatles, el arpa del inicio, los violines, las voces.Paul y John la compusieron. *_"John y yo escribimos 'She's Leaving Home' juntos. Fue mi inspiración. Habíamos leido una historia en el periódico acerca de una chica londinense, quien había huido de su casa y no había sido encontrada; hubo muchas de esas historias en esos tiempos, y eso era suficiente para darnos una trama para una canción. Entonces yo empecé la letra. Me gustó como canción, y después se la mostré a John, él agregó los coros griegos, y las largas notas sostenidas. Yo pienso que quedó muy bien”_* .
Tiempo después se descubrió que la historia en la que la canción está basada, es probablemente la de *Melanie Coe*, su foto apareció en los periódicos esos dias. Ella en una entrevista (está en yutub) comentó acerca de la canción muchos años después, diciendo: *_"Me sorprendió que tan parecida era la canción a mi historia en mi juventud”_*
Melanie era de clase alta inglesa, se fue porque no tenía libertad y se casó con el hombre con el que huyó, pero su matrimonio no duró mucho, en EEUU salió un tiempo con ‘Robin’ el compañero de Batman en la popular serie de tv de los años 60s. Estuvo viviendo un tiempo en Tarifa, sur de España. Ella ahora tiene hijos de otra persona.
