I went to the store, in front of a hotel I saw a guy in a Tesla reading a newspaper and charging his car. I shopped for about half an hour and the guy was still sitting in the car reading some newspaper. What a waste of time.

Surprised you didn't mention how he promised to be the last person to sell his Tesla stock but then sold it in stride when it hit peak meme valuation.

You could have touched on the fact that Tesla was simply overvalued due to Musk's hype. I mean their value was so ludicrously high in 2021, they were worth more than the entire auto industry combined and then some. And Tesla also simply doesn't have enough production capacity for their demand. And with the recent price cuts, the car market just realized how much better Tesla's margins are compared to the competition.

company was unhealthily overpriced in comparison to earnings and we were at top of biggest economic bubble of everything caused by low interest rates and money printing just last year. Correction is necessary for most companies.

I think he's fallen into a thought process that many successful businessmen do- they are successful in 1 or 2 and then think they will be great at everything they do.

Cult of personality did more to drive Tesla to the top than anything they ever created. The one thing they have done that they could potentially fall back on is the charging infrastructure they have set up that has to be netting them decent money. Really kind of brilliant on that end, sell them the car then sell them the fuel too. It is almost as if Exxon were to build a car.

The key to Tesla success is really in-house production and a few industry cost-cutting techniques and, of course, designing a product the same way Apple does. A product that in itself isn't very much far from competition but is TREATED as luxury.

Tesla funding was always based on marketing. Now I know why Elon bought Twitter.
