Of what I've seen this is just a terrible interview. She repeatedly tried to goad Elon into saying something regrettable so that they can get a headline. The goal of this interview was never to understand Elon Musk.

Great job to Elon Musk for staying diplomatic. The interviewer was trying to get him to trash Trump but instead he politely acknowledged their differences. We need more of this rhetoric in our world.

Excellently handled. Political leanings of company executives should be kept private. It would be really dumb to alienate half of your consumers, and is a vile move on journalists' part who try to do so, to create news when there isn't any. And why does it matter really? Why are his contributions to the species' advancement not good enough for these journalists, why is petty politics more important than that?
