As a Polish Canadian who’s family escaped soviet occupation in Poland, I have to say that NATO is a very good thing. We are stronger together.

Im glad they are joining, not only because of the strategic reasons, but also because they seem to be serious about carrying their weight in the alliance, unlike over 2/3rds of NATO. Im grateful for nations like the UK and Poland who seem to be consistently serious about our mutual defense. Hopefully Finland and Sweden can maintain their spending levels and become one of the few that actually meets the basic goal of 2% expenditure.

It gives NATO great control of the Arctic. This also gives NATO an even larger border with Russia, allowing us to defeat Russia with depth and open multiple fronts to make use of our logistical advantage.

Not to mention that the Finn's specifically are great people and have a military that I have unmeasurable respect for.

On paper Sweden has a good military, however the fact remains that it hasn’t been tested in ages.

I like that NATO has become stronger but I believe it needs to update itself, if the stockpile shortages mean anything. I understand plenty of these countries felt secure enough but the Ukraine War has shown that their stockpiles of munitions and vehicles need a serious increase.

While I have faith in American competency, the Europeans should really beef up their military power, because if there was an Article 5 situation, I feel like we'd be doing most of the heavy lifting. We need to be a wall of guns in the face of Russia and China, invading Europe should be as much of a pipe dream as invading the USA.

At the end of day, Russia will need to apply for NATO membership. Putin messed up in Ukraine 🇺🇦 in meantime destroyed Russia 🇷🇺 Armed Forces readiness.
Expect China to lay claims on much of the land that The USSR took back then. Taiwan issues could be a diversion because China has much more to lose in taking Taiwan than the 350, 000 square miles (910, 000 km2) of Outer Manchuria starting with the Treaty of Aigun in 1858 and the Treaty of Peking in 1860 that USSR annexed.

I am no fan of Nato lead by US🇺🇸Sweden🇸🇪 in my opinion made of its biggest mistake by joining nato I am glad that at least India 🇮🇳 has more balls to stand against US 🇺🇸then Sweden 🇸🇪 and Finland 🇫🇮 put to together. India 🇮🇳 still buys Russian oil even when USA 🇺🇸 told them not to India 🇮🇳 will still have friendly relations with Russia 🇷🇺 This is my opinion Agree or disagree. The U.S. is proud to help pay for the security of the world and productive peace. NATO is one of the best parts of this. Without NATO where would Poland be right now? What would have happened to Transnistria and then Moldova? What would have happened to Romania and then Albania? Because Russia desperately wants a seaport with free access to the world oceans. They conquered all of Siberia to the Pacific just to have an open port.
NATO saves millions of happy and productive lives simply by existing. Good stuff!
