🙋🏼 ABOUT ME: Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I'm a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person. I don't like the idea of being fixated on the body too much. I have an alternative and unconventional viewpoint on beauty, the body types and face shapes. I love helping other women find their "it" and finally discover their beauty and boost their confidence.

I have several series on my channel that you might be interested in such as: Body Types, Contouring, Makeup History and Makeup Transformations. Also some random beauty hacks about skin care, hair, nails and beauty in general.

A big misconception with Kibbe is that people think that the whole point is "wear this or you will never look good". When really, it's about giving you the information and tools to help you achieve any look you are going for.

I think people get thrown off by the masculine and feminine terminology, and get their feelings hurt. If you look into Taoism and the concepts of yin and yang, they don’t mean what we think of, we don’t have exact translations. Even though a tall woman has som yang that doesn’t make them manly, or unsexy at all ☺️ yang is not bad!

I'm convinced you are related to Kibbe because you have the body types down to a T, this channel is like a science.

It’s amazing how different is being 5’ 2” as SN compared to other 5’2” friends of mine that are R, TR or G. I can totally get away with long coats, oversized sweaters.

This was so helpful! As a 5 ft 10 girl I was hesitant to label myself as flamboyant natural (even though I have most of the traits of a FN) as I don’t really see myself as “looking tall” but now I see it’s not really possible to look short at that height
Makes so much sense thank you!

I haven’t finished the video yet, but I had to comment that I’m so glad you’re saying that the name of your type doesn’t define your style. It took me longer than it should have to figure out that I’m a soft natural because I hated the stereotype of natural. I didn’t want to wear earth tones, rugged Western or hippi clothing. I didn’t like earthy or ethnic chunky jewelry. I’m more attracted to a romantic sense of style, and I was very sad thinking that I will never look good in the things I like. Eventually I decided to throw those stereotypes in the trash. I can wear classic looking jewelry, but instead of structured bangles, I wear layered tennis bracelets so it looks more loose and unstructured. I bought some sweaters in romantic colors I like with lace, but they’re draped and loose to suit my natural side. And I can wear sharp, winged eyeliner, I just make sure the rest of my makeup isn’t too “done” looking. So either sharp wings or bold lips, but not both. It seems I’ve found this balance that makes me happy. But it still bothers me when I see a board for the types and all the natural looking items are rigged and ugly.

This was excellent. I’m finally understanding. I think I’ve needed to except things.
I’m 5’11”, I have red thick curly hair, people tell me I look like Nicole Kidman, strangers stop and tell me that. I see now, I’m most comfortable in flamboyant natural styled clothes.
The more I hear you talk, the more I see and understand. It’s really hard for me to self analyze myself.

Everybody suits certain looks, nobody suits every look. Most of us know what suits us, and have figured out our style based on what we like and what suits us. And this guide is exactly what it is a guide.

6’ French fry here. I always look tall and I’m not particularly happy about it. But your videos are starting to give me confidence. Thank you

Also re what you were saying about women breaking the rules successfully i was thinking about this also as it seemed similar in the art world. How the early impressionists who softened the rules and began abstracting them and then later abstract artists who completely broke the rules, its the ones who knew how to paint classically could then play around more succesfully and still create something beautiful. Perhaps it is so in all areas of art, and life. X

I'm 5'10" and no matter how I dress I always look tall. Your videos are always so interesting.

It’s really interesting with those long vertical lines! My boyfriend and I are both 5‘8, I‘d say I am a Natural and he is a Flamboyant Gamine. Long vertical lines Look good on me, I live for long coats, dresses, skirts, monochrome outfits etc, I look 5’11 with them but in a good way. He looks ridiculous with the same types of clothing, like he’s wearing his big brother’s coat or something. He looks good in funky street wear with rolled up sleeves and stuff that I could never pull off. It’s just really interesting how different clothing fits even if you’re the same height!

14:13 SO true!!! Knowledge is power! If you are strategic and conscious of the choices you make, you will always do it better than someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing, or someone who’s getting led aimlessly by the nose by trends. Thank you Aly for your educated videos!

Thank god! Been so confused about this for over a year! I'm 5' 10 and I'm pretty sure I'm a SD after this.
As you say I don't feel I look particularly tall at a glance but next to other people I always look big, not just tall, just big and heavy, even though I am not overweight I have that soft fleshiness and curves whilst being tall. I always feel big.
I always wish I was a petite girl but it wasn't meant to be. I like SD style but I've got a lot to learn, never know if I'm going for the right things. This has been helpful thank you!!!

Please make a video about short waisted and long waisted woman. I'm 5'7 but my legs are rather short and I have a very long torso. I can't manage to style it

I found love to see a video on how to pull off styles from other types. For example, I’m a FN but I prefer SD lines. Glamorous styles look a little over the top on my body type.

Seriously one of the best videos you have ever done 😍 I have really been thinking about what you've said in your previous videos regarding height/frame/curve dominance. And while this isn't a perfect formula or test, I did for my own fun create a "potential guideline" of what kibbe body type one might have based off of their dominant trait:
(Tall) height = Dramatic
(Tall) height + Curve = Soft Dramatic
(Wide) frame = Natural
(Wide) frame + (tall) height = Flamboyant Natural
(Wide) frame + curve = Soft Natural
Undecided about Classic, but in theory "Symmetry = Classic", so:
Symmetry + (tall) height = Dramatic Classic
Symmetry + curve = Soft Classic
Curve = Romantic
Curve + (Narrow) Frame = Theatrical Romantic
(Narrow) Frame = Gamine (Undecided)
(Narrow) Frame + Height = Flamboyant Gamine
(Narrow) Frame + Curve = Soft Gamine

Nothing to take too serious, but it helped me determine that I am SN, as I am wide frame dominant in my shoulders, with curve as a close secondary dominance. Height isn't even a thought 😂 Hope this helps!
Aly, thank you for the inspiration 😊🤗

I'm still trying to figure myself out, but this is SO helpful! The pics of Taylor Swift wearing a gamine style and the Olsen girl with an attempt at a long vertical line that just swamps her, really illustrates how fashion can help you or be against you. Thank you!
