SONY KDL... vertical lines problem and temporary solution

Very cheep solution!
Hairdryer on the lower right corner just at startup. If the lines are still there you can keep it warm with a candle light. Worked for me :-)

Mine has horizontal lines, tried this one and it worked! A few lines would re appear but I have no complaints! From unusable to useable! Thanks for sharing sir!

I am watching n this fantasitc tv from 2011. KDL EX32 710. Still going strong. Sound 8/10, picture 9/'10. Bought for 500 euros jan 2011 for my birthday.

Badass use of a hairdryer - first one I have ever seen. I wanna try this with a space heater and try to massage the internal glue or adhesive that must have gotten unstuck. Maybe it is a loose ribbon, but in my case I doubt it, as the problem suddenly occurred on one of the coldest, driest, low humidity nights in a long while.


Bad glue might likely be the culprit here. Anyways, I have a new found appreciation for hairdryers because of your video.

Do not try this! I tried it and it made the vertical lines on my TV slightly thicker and worse!!

So it's a dry solder joint or more likely a ribbon connection from the t-con board. Pressing on that area might also temporarily fix it.

Woow this works, i just tried couple seconds ago, at the firsts seconds wasnt any sine from tv but than tv started work

How did you exactly do that?
I haven't tried one before, but the thing is, i don't know if this method works. because if i try that, you think that would work, unfortunately, i don't think that would work for me.

How long and what temp abs where do u aim?

I would always just slap the tv and it would go back to normal.

Last year I faced this problem and got solution by doing this mathod thanx for Now this year it happen again and I tried it the same way but not fix yet kindly suggest me something otherwise I will hopeless in my case
