I personally disagree, I think it’s a good collection, but it does need some fixes to be truly great

I honestly find them all to be perfectly fine ways to play the games with the occasional bug. I understand why they exist in their current state and admit some additional things would be better. But sometimes sonic fans are some of the most difficult people to please because the get into a comfort zone of let’s mod things to better. And I do find it an unfair comparison to compare the mod patches that allow the customizations of the games when Origins is there to leave the games as is in a for the most part faithful state.

I find it weird how whenever I see others play a game that has a whole bunch of bugs, they encounter basically all of them, but when I play the game, I encounter practically none of them.

The definitive classic game collection was either Sonic Mega Collection or Sonic Gems Collection, those were amazing. Sonic Origins falls short. The ideal Sonic Origins wouldve been, in my opinion, having Knuckles Chaotix in it plus Sonic 3D Blast and the OG STH3 music PLUS all those cool things the other game collections had.

My biggest quarrel with the game is that hidden palace doesn’t use its unused song it uses the song from a prototype of sonic 2 that the prototype used as a placeholder which is just the mystic cave 2player music BUT the song is still in origins sound no 120 in museum normal collection named extra

I play on PlayStation and don’t have access to all these online mods and recreations of the older Sonic games. From that perspective I really enjoyed Origins and even got the platinum trophy. I don’t know what you mean by doesn’t have a lot of extra content it has like 20 bonus missions for each Sonic game with varying difficulties, a shit ton of concept art, videos, and songs you can unlock. With also adding cutscenes to these older Sonic games that originally never had any. I got a good 10-20 hours worth of gameplay out of it too which I would say is fairly good for a collection 20+ year old games.

Sonic 3 was rushed because Sega forced it to be.
1, CD and 2 were just inferior versions of the mobile versions.

The only severe glitch I encountered was kind of cool, it happened after downloading origins plus I think, what happened is whenever I restart my tails Boss rush save file in cd, I get taken to he D.A Garden and when I quit it i enter the 2011 version menu, idk how or why it happens but it happens

Sonic Origins is better than Sonic Mania.

Sonic Origins is a great collection to own. It makes the old classics extremely easy to play. Just pick up a controller and watch Sonic zoom. 😆. There's no extra steps required. The simplicity of if makes it an easy buy.

I'm a playing a different game to everyone else?

I have Origins on PS5 and the only major glitch I ever got was in S3&K where at Lava Reef Act 2, I was taken to a Special Stage despite having all Super Emeralds.

Upon exiting, I discovered all my Emeralds had mysteriously vanished.

But when I exited out S3&K and back in again, they were all suddenly back in my inventory and I simply carried on from where I was, as Origins saves from whatever Act of the zone you were on as opposed to the full zone.

That whole glitch was a one time thing that has yet to happen again.

Fun fact: three of the remasters were made Way before origins and are considered the definitive way to play the games the remastered

if you want to play these games in a collection just get somic mega collection plus and get somic cd separately somehow (im not suggesting piracy but if you want to play these games on pc i dont think there are eny other options
