It bothers me that they can't do a proper collection like they used to. Compared Origins/Plus to Gems and Mega Collection and you see which one was loved and the other is a cash grab because why not?

The fact that they dropped base Origins to 30 while I got the Digital Deluxe edition pisses me off since the Plus content just makes you rebuy the Digital Deluxe stuff in the pack. But having said that, Origins Plus is very disappointing but it gets the job done. Amy's the best part about it though.

I knew this game was going to be the biggest cash grab piece of crap from the start when it said that you need to pay $40 for games you can already play for free, also the missing Sonic 3 track are concerning

4:05 actually that is because the mobile android and iphone versions of the game use that blur when playing sonic 1, 2 and CD, and I think that they kept that blur in origins (I mean it’s obviously the worst idea in the entire world ‘cuz it looks bad XD), but that’s the explanation I guess

My idea for Plus: Base game with Spinball, 3D Blast, Chaotix, Mean Bean Machine, Game Gear Games with the Master System versions, options to remove spindash in S1 remove lives in 4:3, or add lives to Aniversery mode, remove / add dropdash into both modes, options to access special stages through the menu, save states, move knuckles to base game, Supprise mode unlocking instashield, peelout, and switchable sonic skins, for $20. price drop and the game will give you download codes for digital deluxe content if you owned the base game and plus code for digital deluxe owners. Maybe throw in Sonic R and have the price be $25.

I’ve been a Sonic fan for a since 1991 and it bugs me when a lot of these reviews complain about how things haven’t been fixed or features haven’t been added. Granted I agree about the digital deluxe ripoff but we are talking about a year difference so if you can’t fine $10 then you have no business even playing these games

Now you do know that you can customize your controller since the update? Trust me when I say a lot of Sonic 3 & Knuckles features have been fixed. Not all but the majority of them and it’s an actual playable game. And the cheat codes in each game can make these games more enjoyable (sans CD). For example. If you really want the classic experience the go to classic mode and turn off spindash. You can even play as Sonic and tails through the stage select screen in both versions, add a 7th emerald and play as Super Sonic on Sonic 1. Add elemental shields in the first 2 games. Or for a new experience change the item boxes randomly. Sonic 3 and Knuckles cheats are fun too. Random items, adding super peel out, turning off the super music. Adding flight to Super Sonic similar to Egg Reverie Zone in Sonic Mania. Did i mention that Sonic 2 2-player now has 8 stages instead of 4 like the mobile versions.

And my last thing to add is time attack mode is in this game under “My Data and Ranking”. Not saying your one of them because you never mentioned it but a lot of reviewers don’t even know it exists.

Don’t get me wrong i love The fan projects like S3 Air and Sonic forever and Absolute but if people were really gonna think the official releases were gonna top those they were sadly mistaken. For me this is just a convenient way to play these classics on my switch on the go and I love them for it. I’m glad they addressed the majority of the bugs from last year. It’s not perfect but a way better improvement.
I appreciate your point of view and once again I agree this game should of been at least $30 at launch but it’s a lot of different way’s people can play with the codes if you do your research.

I think Nintendo did the public worse by emulating 3 classic Mario games and making them temporary and costing $60. Biggest scam of them all. At least the classic 4 were rebuilt

While Amy and Knuckles being playable in CD is worth the $10 bucks (I do not care about the Game Gear games), I honestly do not recommend it for my case. I already got myself Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, and Sonic 3 A.I.R and I can freely use mods anyway. I’ll wait for Sonic CD’s PC decompilation. My major problem with Sonic Origins, especially for PC is you can’t play it offline because it requires you to be online at some point because Denuvo DRM checks for you to be online periodically. I bought Origins for about 20 bucks but DRM is a deal breaker for me.
