'God Save the Queen' - A Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

"God Save the Queen" is the former national anthem of the United Kingdom. Elizabeth II ascended to the throne on the 6th of February 1952, and ended her reign on the 8th of September 2022, 70 years of singing God Save the Queen concluding as well.

She was a shining symbol of the unity and continuity of our great solemn nation. God Save the Queen has grown such a familiar sound since St. Edwards crown was placed upon her head in 1953, trooping the colour, the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, the opening of Parliament, sporting events, Jubilee's, always something to cherish.

Our beloved Queen now reunited with her father King George VI and mother, Elizabeth, her husband, Prince Philip, and her sister, Margaret Windsor, may she find happiness.

It's quite impossible for me to believe that today it has been one year since our beloved Queen departed from this world, that we've been living in a post Elizabethan world, that the one figure of stability and strength, unity and will, humour and kindness that had served from Eden and Churchill to Truss, 70 years, 86% of us in Britain have known no other monarch but our dutiful and elegant Queen. Throughout recessions, wars, parliamentary idiocy, she had always stood strong with a smile on her face to the very end, it's an incredibly inspiring reign that has closed, even today a year later it still pains me immensely to think of her passing, I hope this video is able to show just what a kind loving soul she was, as a person, a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother, a daughter, a wife, a queen, a head of state. Now as I post this it will be exactly 1 year to the minute since her reign concluded,

Her Majesty was like a grandmother to us Americans.

I miss her charm, love of everyone.
She even ordered the Coldstream Guards to play the Star Spangled Banner at Buckingham Palace on 9/12/01.
