I remember being on holiday in Greece. I saw on my phone that the Queen had died so I went back into the room to tell my parents. We turned on the TV and this was playing.

This specific _'God Save the Queen'_ was quite unique, and had indeed had an effect when I first heard it on the announcement from the BBC channel:

It had a certain feeling of melancholy; a sudden sadness that what was once familiar had now 'left'. 70 years of her Majesty's reign had passed, and had been recognized, and known by more than 3 generations. This music had given such a feeling of a "saddening, yet prideful" way of announcement.

One of my family members works in the media, I remember them telling us all that the Queen had died around 1pm on the 8th of September, I could not believe it… I’ve thought about what historical events could happen in my life and I never thought The Queen dying would be one of them.

I has just came back from Cyprus as well and Splatoon 3 (my favourite video game series) was starting to release, I’m glad I was in the country for this.

I went to see her coffin with the Crown Jewels for her funeral and I saw that too, this was a very surreal time. If The Queen didn’t get Covid-19 then I think she could have lived longer than the Queen Mother potentially.
