going for the satechi, hard to find good stuff here in morocco at msrp usually, amazon be handy for that, between 2 pcs and mac, plus can do wired and backlit, am sold ( big hands, finger issues, game dev, need them comfy keys haha ), very helpful, thank you sir ! :)

I got used to Touch ID and cannot imagine living without it. Typing password to log-in is now too big a hassle compared to Touch ID.

On the Logitech MX mini, the “FN” key does the same things as the “globe” key on the official Apple keyboard?

Hey, I’ve been watching a lot of keyboard videos lately and wanted to share some honest feedback. I know these take time to make, but this one felt a bit surface-level and more focused on affiliate links than depth. Since it’s aimed at Mac users, it was surprising that you didn’t mention the Mac version of the MX Keys Mini, especially since Mac support was a big selling point for the Satechi X1. Also, while you did mention the MX Mechanical’s limited customizability, most enthusiasts still prefer similarly priced Keychron models for their better feel and overall value. So calling it a favorite without addressing those comparisons feels incomplete. No timestamps, no chapters, and only affiliate links in the description didn’t help either. Maybe I’m off, but I hope this comes across as constructive and helps for future videos.

I went looking for a keyboard to use with an M1 MBA that had a cracked screen to be used in clamshell mode (closed), and after trying an off brand I went straight back to the Apple one with the number pad.

For those of us using the new Globe key shortcuts, none of these keyboards will work properly. Despite being labeled with Fn - Apple's Globe key IS NOT THE Fn key and has a completely different set of functions. In addition, Apple has designed it be very difficult to re-program the Globe key functions on a normal keyboard. You can test if your Fn key works as a Globe key by trying the Window management keyboard shortcuts - currently official Apple keyboards with the Globe keys will work correctly with the Window management shortcuts - but 3rd party keyboards are mostly out of luck.

Disappointing however, that you did not recommend any “ergonomic” keyboards. 🤷🏻‍♂️ some people really do need to use those to avoid wrist issues and it would’ve been nice to have seen at least one recommendation in that category.

How similar is magic keyboard to satechi? is it the same keystroke as on the magic keyboard?

Maybe it's just me but I find it really hard to type on the newer Magic Keyboard. It feels just a tiny bit too low profile vs the MacBook Air keyboard on the M2

MAC Mini M4 doesnt have USB ports anymore. Are these keyboards USB Type C compatible?

I don't like Apple keyboards. The key travel is too shallow.

That's why I bought the Logi MX Key S keyboard (I need the numeric keypad).
