Thanks to your coverage of the Lofree Lite I went for it. I just received mine recently and the Nuphy went out the window instantly. Really appreciate the detailed overviews, etc all the time. Saved me a bundle and a disappointment as I was going to grab the older Lofree version from Amazon.

I’ve always used Tactile switches so I’m stunned how much I like the stock linear switches in the Lite. I’m seriously considering getting the quieter version though for certain workspaces though compared to the chunky sounding Nuphy the Spectres are already quieter.

My favourite part though is the feel. Using the Nuphy it was like typing on a two-by-four with keys. This is a gorgeous typing experience. Comfortable to type on without losing the thock.

Having the adjustable feet is nice even with the weird rubber attachments.

Also having a place for the 2.4ghz dongle is always a + though I wish in 2025 it was a usb c dongle. It would’ve cost maybe 1 dollar more to have usb c dongles made vs using the existing stock of usb a dongles.

I also mostly I like the look. I have the white 87% and it has the look of what an Apple Mechanical keyboard would look like. I say mostly because there’s a couple of things about the look I don’t particularly like. See cons section.

The only things I don’t particularly enjoy (aka cons) include:

1. All plastic build - I’d actually be ok with it being a bit less portable. That said it’s very sturdy for an all plastic build.

2a. The forehead. I’m not a fan. I think it detracts from the look a bit but with the volume spinner I guess they needed it.

2b. That logo. I hate, I mean HATE having logos stuck in my face. I know who I bought a product from thank you very much and if someone asks I’ll happily tell them. They don’t need to peer over my shoulder to get a look at the logo to find out the name of the company.

It would’ve been ok if they just used their O shaped logo mark. That would’ve been subtle enough imo to be fine.

3. A minor gripe. I don’t like the gold colour of the spinner. It looks cheap & cheapens the overall look. A simple black, grey, silver or even better white coloured spinner would’ve been preferred.

4. It should’ve come with a usb c dongle instead of a usb a dongle imo.

Summary:

When you combine the pros and cons though this is easily my favourite low profile keyboard to date and is already my daily driver.

The important stuff like typing feel is so far ahead of others (especially Nuphy) I can live with the cosmetic things I’d like to be different.

Also even though I counted the all plastic build as a bit of a con this is also now my portable daily driver due to its weight so I guess in a way the all plastic build is a pro and con.

Note: I used to carry either an old Lenovo wireless keyboard (the one that looks like they ripped it right off the Lenovo laptop - it still has 1 of the best typing experiences in any keyboard portable or desktop I’ve ever found. Sadly the battery is almost dead after all these years.

My other portable keyboard used to be the Apple Keyboard.

It’ll be nice to have a mechanical for on the go as well.

I’m considering getting a full size Lite for my desk and moving this one permanently to my laptop bag.

Thanks for another great review/overview. Have a great 2025.

I actually just purchased the Lofree Flow Lite84 with their Hades switches and can say that is by far the best typing experience I've had to date. For being a low-profile mechanical keyboard, these switches make it feel almost like a membrane keyboard. I love, love, love how it feels and am just looking for excuses to type on it.

Love your super detailed reviews! I was in a situation where my remote job sponsored a home office upgrade and I needed a nice enough, creamy keyboard that was also available in my Southeast Asian third world country. Any of these would have done nicely, but I needed something available from a physical store that could issue an official receipt/invoice to me.

The only one I ever saw in a local store was the pink Lofree Flow Lite. They were selling it for ~$70, so I guess they got it at a Kickstarter price haha. Grabbed it and never looked back!! It's such a pleasure to type on, sounds so delicious to my ears when typing, and ever so portable! As an added note, I work from home so I didn't think portability would be something hugely beneficial to me, but being able to throw it in my backpack and just work from a cafe or coworking space or outdoors for a change of scenery has been a significant quality of LIFE upgrade!

And here I am, already having bought a keyboard based off of one of your reviews and still watching to affirm my decision that I bought a really good one. Keep going, kween!!

Great reviews. I am a typist needing a keyboard that has about 15-16 macro keys/software built in. Thoughts?

I wish there was more full keyboard options with number pad

I wish more compact keyboards would use a layout like the Wooting. I like having a full sized right shift. And you also get more of the productivity keys for navigating documents.

Great video, liked and subbed! May I ask which color of the Lofree are you using here? Is it marble or plain white? Thanks!

Great vid. Congrats. Personally I'm a fan of big keyboards. Can't really see myself using a keyboard w/o a numpad.

Only thing Evo works 80 can do now it's hall effect switches with really good software and some better more stealthy colour ways and it's a 100% copper

For me the Womier RD75 beats the Rainy 75 by a few inches. They're almost identical with my Akko Fairy switches. But the Womier is easier to clean due to how it opens, and you can get different plates. Rainy only has an FR4 flex plate. Womier offers flex and non-flex in different materials.
