For anybody considering getting one of these...I hope you like touch-typing. I've had mine for just over 6 months now, and a bunch of the keys have worn so much that they're illegible and the backlight's shining through. While it's a great keyboard in use, I suspect it's light-use-only. Pretty disappointing for a £100 keyboard.

UPDATE: Contacted Logitech support to get some replacement keycaps, and they took my address then said they don't supply spares for these keyboards. Then, without any pushing, they just said "Your replacement keyboard is on its way to you. Please dispose of the faulty one responsibly.". Fair play to them!

Totally agree re. ergonomics. I can't believe there aren't more compact keyboard options out there, given the fact that MOST people use mice and/or trackpads alongside their keyboards. I was getting so many shoulder issues (granted, it did take me a while to figure out what the issue was). Getting a compact keyboard made a huge difference. I miss my Print Screen, Home and End keys, but alas it's worth it.

I've had the full version of this keyboard for 2 years now and it is still my fav board out of all the keyboards I own. The only downside I encountered is the volume button sometimes glitches when you're presses it and will go all the way up or down. Other than that, no real issues. I usually only have to charge it once every 2-3 weeks. And I use it for coding, gaming, surfing, etc.

9:50 this is so true. I wish they would put the number keys on the left side of the keyboard so it doesn't eat up valuable mouse space.

I've had the logi mx keys mini for about 4 months. Never heard of it until I brought it. This thing kicks ass!
I charged it once 4 months ago and it has just reached the 50% mark with daily use. Zero problems. Fits in the protective sleeve with my laptop and then into the bag. It's sturdy with a solid feel to it. So far it has been an excellent purchase for me. Comes with mouse. No problems with it either.

I'm a diehard membrane keyboard fan. No hate for mechanical keyboards, I like them too. It's the noise that gets to me. I might fancy a quiet mechanical keyboard if I tried one.

Usb c, longer battery, charge quickly and portable wise. The best mini keyboard ive ever bought. Now my table is so damn clean compared of having big chunky keyboard like Razer huntsman elite.

I have the full version of this keyboard and I love it. Had it for more than two years now. The mini is great as well, but for some reason just feels a little different from the full version. Although the portability of the mini is unbeatable..

Again, I was not the only person who hates mechanical keyboards. I just don't understand why so many people say that mechanical keyboards feel better. I prefer Apple keyboard or other high-end laptop chiclet keyboards. They are thin, so no need for cumbersome wrist rests; they are quite; they require less efforts to press. The only problem is that most non-crappy keyboards for desktop PC's are now mechanical. I mean, find a keyboard with 75% layout, backlight, and firmware key customisability that ISN'T mechanical.

It's like seeing glass body having replaced plastic body in smart phones. Plastics are light, cheap, practical, and allows wireless charging. Hipsters said it feels cheap, so now all smartphone manufacturers use glass body that gets easily shattered and users have to protect it with a plastic case.

Just bought this keyboard a few days ago. It is a joy typing on this one. I had a clicky mechanical and honestly the noise was getting to much. This sounds more civilized and refined. The ability to pair with three other devices is amazing. The other function keys are amazing too and it's Mac compatible.

I agree with you on the membrane keyboard - the feel, speed, low key travel make for faster and more comfortable typing - it feels like a high-quality laptop keyboard which we're all slowly realizing is better to type on than these long-travel, noisier mechanical keyboards.

I got the MX Keys Mini Mac version for a good deal at Best Buy and it’s amazing for me! I did have to order a Logitech Bolt Receiver on Amazon to not use Bluetooth and it works like a charm as well! Absolutely love the comfortability of the keyboard

The ergonomics problem of the numeric pad on the right can be solved if you use the mouse on the left. After you get used with it, a whole new world opens. You can immediately type the "enter" key AND keep your left hand on the mouse. Your right wrist will also be spared of complications like carpal tunnel syndrome. I switch hands at least 2 times per year or anytime I feel some discomfort in my wrists.

Great video. Especially section why to choose for MX Keys 8:42 and why to choose for Magic Keyboard 9:14 were very helpful for me. For me conclusion was to go for Apple Magic Keyboard as I don't care about device switching and custom keys.

Great review. You talking about how it's not exactly like an Apple keyboard made me want it more.

It's a feature, not a bug 😂

0:00 ⌨ The MX Keys Mini from Logitech is a wireless membrane keyboard priced at $99, similar to Apple's keyboards but with more features.

0:24 🔄 One standout feature is the ability to easily switch between up to 3 devices using the first three buttons in the function row.

0:35 📶 The Easy Switch feature allows Bluetooth pairing without needing the Logi Bolt USB receiver for a stable connection.

1:10 🛠 The build quality is sturdy with an aluminum design and eco-friendly packaging, using recycled plastic for the keys.

1:16 🎨 The MX Keys Mini is available in various colors, with the graphite version matching well with other Logitech products.

1:49 📝 The keyboard is a membrane type with less key travel compared to mechanical keyboards, preferred by some for ergonomics.

2:34 💡 The keyboard includes a light proximity sensor that turns off the backlight when not in use, extending battery life up to 5 months without the backlight.

3:11 🔧 The MX Keys Mini uses the Logi Options+ app for setup and customization, allowing remapping of function keys for specific actions or apps.

5:05 🐛 Some downsides include initial software bugs and issues with firmware updates, particularly on Mac.

5:53 🔌 The Logi Bolt receiver offers a more stable connection, especially useful when using multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

8:47 🏷 The MX Keys Mini offers more color options, device switching features, and key customization per app, making it a competitive choice against Apple's Magic Keyboards.

9:45 🖱 A mini-sized keyboard is recommended if using a mouse or trackpad to avoid potential ergonomic strain.
