Those ideas and many more have just been a way of life for me the last 60 years. I have lived through 7 recessions . Recession is a scary word. I just remember that business got really good and we put away as much as we could. Then business got bad and we hung on, sometimes having to draw from the reserves to pay the expenses. That repeated it's self 7 times, but we hung on and retired comfortably 14 years ago. Never borrow money for things that do not make money.
