10 Things That Didn't Make Sense In The Descendants Movies

Some movies are flawless while others are riddled with plot holes that leave the average viewer with a whole lot of questions. We love the “Descendants” franchise and everyone in Auradon, but we can't deny that there are a few things that just don't add up. We definitely weren't the only ones who spotted out inconsistencies throughout the three "Descendants" films. But in the end, we're not too mad about it considering the entire franchise is totally wicked.

The first one, if you look in the books, Dizzy still needed to be accepted by one of them and they could only take four so that would leave Evie without someone to invite.

Hey! In Descendants 3, Celia says that EVIL spells don’t work on the isle. Maleficent turning into a lizard was a good spell, and the talking dog gummy magic wasn’t technically an evil spell. But Audrey cast an evil spell on Mal.

if you paid attention, ... hades says "nice show you put on back there" and she says "right back at you" they attacked each other so no one would figure out that they were father and daughter.

Dude was able to talk because it’s not evil magic. When Mal says “hey, I’m me again!” one of the other VKs says “Duh, evil magic doesn’t work here, kinda the point.” A truth gummy isn’t evil. I’d say that’s why Maleficent was still a lizard too, because it wasn’t evil magic.

Some you missed:
In D1 when Chad was writing the note to Evie he pulled out a highlighter, yet when Evie reads it it seems to be written in pen.
In D2 even if they had brought the real wand to Uma and her pirates, it wouldn’t have worked anyways because magic doesn’t work on the Isle Of The Lost.
Also Evie said to old hag Mal “Let’s get you into something fabulous” and that’s why she was wearing something else.

Cellia said "duh, EVIL MAGIC DOESENT WORK HERE kinda the point". Also learn that Mal, Uma and Audrey have eachothers blood in their system so they're connected in family.

I believe Evie still has her powers, she just chooses not to use them. Maleficent was a fairy so her powers were natural while the Evil Queen used potions for her magic. The mirror was magic on its own, but was probably spelled to only work for the EQ which is why it only worked for Evie in Auradon, but besides that we do see Evies amazing chemistry abilities in D1 and D2 when she creates the smoke bombs for the pirates. This resembles the potion casting abilities her mother had in Snow White. Also it’s very noticable that Evie was excited to be in Auradon and as soon as she had the choice, she chose good remotely quickly. So along with giving up her mirror she probably used her powers for more practical reasons like chemistry

In the Aisle only bad magic gets blocked, so the grandma thing got taken down since Audrey did it for a bad reason, but the others were good magic so that kept existing.

Actually the line "don't got a phone" makes sense if you look at from the perspective that she's referring to the time before she left for auradon.

In queen of mean when she looked at the picture Bens hair was exactly like now

When hades was saving audrey she had her hand closed like she had the ember

There are a few more things: how did Audrey just get inside with not using her hands to open the gate? How did the security guard fall asleep a soon as Audrey came into the museum?

5:18 He wasnt taking a nap, he was still under the sleeping spell from the first movie when mal put a curse on him to get into the muesem to steal the wand!

Did anyone else notice that when mal was into an elderly woman she looked a lot like Evie's mom did when she disguised her self as an elderly woman in Snow White and the Seven Drawfs

Similar to the apple continuity error, we see a similar problem when Audrey locks Chad in the closet. She picks up a bowl of pears, lets the pears fall on the table, and throws the bowl at Chad. But when the scene cuts back, there's less pears on the table.

I guess Audrey just hates fruit that much.
