The Somatic Therapy Practice The Wall Push helps release anger, frustration, and feelings of sadness from the body.

Find a sturdy wall that will withstand the weight of your body.

Place the palms of your hands against the wall and start pushing into the wall like you’re trying to move it.

Keep pushing until your arms, legs, or core shake or quiver. This shake is telling you that the pent up energy has been discharged.

Take a break and check in with yourself. Repeat as many times as needed.

Omg!!! This helped SO much 😭😭😭 I truly can’t thank you enough!!! 😭😭😭 I was disrespected by someone who I went out of my way to help and my blood was boiling…I tried to release the anger in ways I knew how but nothing worked so I searched for somatic practice to release anger & now I feel 1000 times better 😭🙏🏽💗 so so grateful!!!

This video is so helpful! It deserves more credit. As a bodywork energy healer, releasing this kind of tension is critical to channeling emergy through our bodies as it is npt meant for us to hold. We get stuck in the mind and the body suffers when it cant let go. This is a core issue for many people with physical pain. This is a great release!

Thanks for the video! One suggestion - it would be better not to have loud background music as it interferes with the instructions.

My mobility issues are getting in the way of staying there until I might feel the shake. So much stiffness and tension in muscles and joints, especially upper back and arms. Otherwise I’m very glad to discover this. Hopefully it got some of it out, I could do without the same furious mental conversation for another decade.

I did feel a big shift internally, drained of that horrible angry energy. In time, the release should help my pain issues release too.

Also I just watched a video of some kids in a Utah school theatre competition perform Gee Officer Krupke. I love dance and that song, and they’re that good, I watched it a few times last night and the first time, months ago, I felt chills when they really pulled it out the hat. I just felt that again, and last night I didn’t. Full spectrum of emotions able to be felt 👌🏻

I'm so gonna try this. Lately I feel my anger and rage consuming me, and I feel like I'm just one bad day away from snapping. I'm betting this could really help me though...

Thats not the only excercise that can make you quiver.

I used to this unconsciously as a kid, as well as child’s pose 😳 Idk it felt good to do them but I didn’t know why

The quality of audio is poor and is very hard in places to understand what is said in the video.

How many minutes does it typically take before the shake should start? Thanks

Shaking during exercise means the energy is getting released?

I always wonder if anyone has broken through drywall whenever I do this

Unfortunately this does nothing at all for me. I just end up wanting to break something afterwards
