With a 5090, for all the things you may want to do with a 5090 ...

The 9950x3d is the only choice, why be restricted to just gaming, when you can run multiple monitors, leave background tasks open, not having to close down what you have been using your pc all day for so you can game without it hitting a hard cpu bottleneck

My only problem is how ridiculous and unnecessary. Even car guys aren't so ridiculous as to want 3, 000HP in every car. Can get a 7800X3D and a 4070 Super for gaming, and build 2 or 3 of them for the price of this. Must be all the streamers talking up specs. I was playing games on computers back in the day (aka before 3D acceleration was a thing). Even a used 3080 and a 180 USD R7 7700 will play any game, this whole thing is ridiculous.

No it's not the best. the best would be a I9 14900KS with a 5090 and 64GB DDR5 ram. idc what yall say. Intel is just better. it has more cores and faster speeds. Intel is the best CPU on the market for pure performance. AMD dominates the low end / mid range CPUS and that is facts. go check Userbenchmarks compare CPU Intel I9 14900KS and the Ryzen 9800X3D the I9 is better by like 8%
