Intel i5-10600K vs AMD Ryzen 3600X & 3700X! Review, Overclocking & Benchmarks
Here's my follow-up review of Intel's mid-range 10th Gen Core i5 CPU, the 6-core 12-thread i5-10600K. I test vs AMD's Ryzen 3600X (6c/12t, $205) and 3700X (8c/16t, $295) CPUs.

All reviews I have came across always forgot to factor in the cost of the CPU Cooler as all Intel K series don't come with a cooler. All AMD Zen 2 desktop CPU comes with a cooler except the R9 3950X . Plus, why nobody ever try the i5 10600K on a cheap cooler like any Cooler Master Hyper 212 series ? It is always tested with an expensive 280mm AIO all the time. The i5 is supposed to be affordable.

When you take into account that most ryzens come with an acceptable air cooler, the average am4 mainboard is cheaper and that there is a 3600 non-x, that is even better price to performance, the price vs performance charts look even worse for intel. But at least intel somehow admitted that their prices need to be lowered.
When I check out the prices here in Germany I still see no reason to buy Intel:
10600K 300€
10900K 575€
vs
3600 175€
3600X 200€
3700X 295€
3900X 430€

Based on this, the Ryzen 5 3600 @ $180 to $200 is still the best choice.

Honestly, I would only consider Intel when F series CPU and lower cost motherboard become widely available.
Overclocking in Intel platform command too much of a premium to be cost efficient.
Not to mention the lack of stock cooler, there are more people using Intel stock cooler than an enthusiast might imagine.

Running team blue for now, but have known for a while my next upgrade would be Ryzen.
Nothing has changed.

With the money you save on going with R5 3600 + cpu cooler + mobo vs 10600k, you can step up from 2060s to 2070s

I know competition always swings back and disrupts the market but It still blows my mind to see a 6c 12t intel part selling for under 300.

Price vs. Performance summary is the most useful chart I've seen in a while on a CPU review..

Personally I will go AMD next build. Better performance per dollar and decent cooler included, the cooler alone saves me at least around 25$.

16:31 I believe this is the most important chart

If the gaps are this close between this years Core and last years Ryzen CPUs, Ryzen 4000 will absolutely destroy Intel 10th gen

AMD "Should we release Ryzen 4000 now", "no the 3700x is doing just fine right now, lets cook them slowly shall we".

I was going to buy the 10700k, but after seeing so many reviews for the 10600k, and how well it performs in gaming, I may just get that and save the extra money towards better RAM or an M.2 Drive.

Going from a first gen i7-975 that I've been using for the past seven years is going to be worth an upgrade to me.

Just doing normal gaming at 1200p, burning DVDs once in a while for the kids, et cetera. Daily use. No production or anything like that. (Though I do draw a lot.)

Go AMD, save money, get a better GPU and simply outperform any intel system for the same price not only in games but in workloads

The Intel recommendation remains the same, buy AMD.

I just upgraded to the 3600 non x variant from the FX8350 lol it is night and day. I love it. I'm just having trouble overclocking it cause I'm waiting for my AIO manufacturer to send me the AM4 bracket. Great video you really made me feel even better about my choice and purchase lol
