I disagree with the statement about not putting slope. They don't need a lot, but they do need some slope.

rain gutters are not to be installed level ... install them a 1/4 to 1/2 inch down hill every 10 feet towards the drain

Hello. *_Point of correction._* Gutters are NOT installed perfectly level. The center point is installed at a certain point, and then you drop the gutter ¼" for every 4 feet, as you head to the downspout. Perfectly level would cause backup and ice damming.

Those plastic guards are trash, Nate... they originally had a finer mesh glued to the vinyl guard, which they've clearly lost that screen over time. Replace them or do without next time.
Years of maintaining gutters has shown us that hanging gutters perfectly level is NOT a good idea. Fine if the only thing that ever enters is pure water, but the debris WILL sit heavier and longer without slope. Love the Wadsworth content family but this video hurt my head lol

Why are the gutters level? That doesn’t seem right. I’ve always installed at a slight slope toward the downspout. Doesn’t make sense to have them level.

Nate, your gutter guards don't seem to be performing as they should. Fortunately this example is on your low-pitch single story roof. Some of us have to use power washer attachments to clear out second story gutters (as we love having trees close by). Your new home looks amazing. Best of luck.

We just had professional gutters installed as part of our re-roof project. I really like the seamless appearance and the modern attachment hardware. It was fun to watch and our gutters have a slight slant towards the downspouts. We're expecting our first rain tonight since the project was completed.

Here's a cheap home made tool that will allow you to wash all bottom story gutters without a ladder for about $20.
1/2 or 3/4 inch PVC pipe as long as your gutter height. On one end glue on a thread adapter and screw on a brass NPT female to Hose thread adapter. On the business end glue two 90° and finally a 45. Screw on the hose and that"s it. I start from the drain and work awat.
