Howdy Ben, just found your channel today. Like your information. It’s Very much in line with what I've experienced. Moved here from Boulder in 2019 but had family in the Springs since about 1915. Enjoying your other videos as well. FYI I am 57 and Retired Air Force and been associated with Peterson SFB off and on since 1990.
Fun fact: The Colorado Springs metro area has over a 1700 ft change in elevation from Fountain to Palmer Lake. Palmer Lake is only about 250 ft lower the Estes Park.
