Working class people shd have been on the streets then in 2020 and 2021 demanding that furlough stops, demanding that the money printer is switched of, demanding that interest rates go up....instead of staying in indoors for two years and thinking they can get paid in magic money with no reckoning.

It’s called stealth tax. They need to plug that huge gap in the treasury left by covid, and they don’t want to do it through raising income tax - as it’d be too much of a raise for people to take in.

Me too, never experienced anything like this in my 55 years of life. We sat in a freezing house through Winter this year, creating black mould problems in every room, affecting my disabled daughters health resulting in bacterial infections caused by the black mould and 7 months of surgery and daily hospital visits. This government should hang their heads in shame.

Scotland has banned rent increases for private rentals and law in place banning evictions so no selling of houses for house owners with tenants. This is full of controversy. Agree with the no rent increases but being unable to sell is causing serious financial issues and worry.
