USB Update Mode on Oculus Quest

Last week my Oculus Quest went into USB Update Mode. No matter what options I select, it takes me back to this screen. My Quest literally sits on my desk until I'm ready to play, and the farthest I've traveled with it is upstairs to my bedroom. I fear this is the Oculus BSOD! Please help!

I've spent as much on accessories for my quest as I've spent on the Quest itself, if not more. Rx lenses, htc vive deluxe audio strap, spawn decal, clear protector, 3d printed audio strap holders, external battery, link cables, upgrades to my pc, 3d printed gun stocks, controller grips, and a stand. FrankenQuest to the max! And the Quest 2 might be dropping soon, this makes me hesitant to purchase. Especially if my accesories are not compatible for the new iteration.

UPDATE: I sent in my Quest back to Oculus and they sent me a refurbished one. I'm back to playing No Man's Sky, HL: Alyx, and Rogue Squadrons!

Hold the power button for 30 seconds and then give it 5 mins then press and hold for 30 seconds to sure back on. If it takes you back to that screen press exit and boot system. If this does not work I recommend reaching out to oculus. They should help you fix the problem

How long did oculus support take to tell you to send it back?

Same thing happened to me😮 Did you try factory resetting it it will not delete your account data

i had this before, you can try to fix it by going to the update mode and press the volume ( up or down ) and then choose power off, then leave the oculus/meta alone for a full 24 hours. if that doesnt work the other choice might. so disclaimer for this choice to fix it, if you use this choice you while lose everything and it will refresh your whole oculus and it worked for me. And if you're logged in on your phone you might be able to save all your things, and yes payed subscription and games will be already payed for, you just gotta find them i hope this helps!

Use your volume button to turn your volume down then it should go to factory reset then press your power button

So you said you had to send it back. Roughly how long did it take them to send another head set? Just went to turn on ours roughly 30 min after my husband used it and now have the same exact problem.

Nothing to say, all has been wrapped up in the comments above.Still no solid fix from Oculus although we have to deal with them forcing us having FB account.Gonna stay away for a moment to calm my tension, back to regular gaming routine.No hope.. will be back until any fix available..

Hold the power down button and the volume button becuase on accident you probably did power button and volume and it went to that menu ( it is supposed to do that) so just do it again. Edit: ahh i see you got a new refurbished one

Me too every time I try to restart my vr it sends me to my account and then it says socialnetwork is not working and then it restarts on is own

You can press the two volume buttons up and down and then press the power button just repair it when I fix it

sorry bro but your oculus is gone. this usually happens when things like large apps make you think your in a boot up. everytime you press something it just straight up downloads viruses
