Dealing with Bad Grades in School | Jordan Peterson Advice for Students

Dr. Jordan Peterson discusses how students should think and conduct themselves when they inevitably receive a bad grade at some point in their college or university career. Using the failure as a means to learn and improve is critical, but equally important is to let go of our biases and our tendency to put responsibility for shortcomings onto others.

So this semester I worked really hard, and ended up with the same grade as last semester. And I feel it was zero return of investment! Now I am thinking to myself... after hearing the teacher giving me so much good feedback on the way for the projects I've been working on, why couldn't they give me proper feedback so I could adjust? or am I just delusional?

I’m really upset. I’ve been trying my best in school this semester, even though it’s been super hard for me. My family is struggling financially, and I’ve had to work part-time just to help out. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with health issues, which made it even harder to keep up with my classes. I thought my teacher would take all this into account and give me a higher grade, but I ended up getting the same score as everyone else. It feels so unfair after everything I’ve been through

One of the most pragmatic lessons i ever had to learn is that nobody cares how much effort you put into Something or how good you understood the subject. They only care about the results. So if you have learning issues and you dont study something that ACTUALLY requires you to be good in the profession like medicine or hard science, just cheat on your exams. Friend of mine in germany had a side hustle while paying someone to write his exams for his MBA. Now he has an mba and successfully works in a bank while he never learned for exams. But the funny thing is his knowledge was never required to make the job, he only needed the papers to get INTO the job. After he was in, they basically teached him everything you need anyway. He has been working for that bank since 5 years succesfully.

Bad grades in school are often a result of childhood trauma. Funny, you don't know that. Jordan!

I think the reason why students at school get bad grades is due to them spending on too much Social Media time and not revising their studying

Maybe all this gender changing is upsetting and distracting to children.
Schools, stick with the basics. It is a very competitive world and children need to focus....not, distracted
