Ordered distributer only to play with app. Excellent short cut video with easy to follow task analysis and procedures. Just discovered you, thankfully

+1 for posting this. Just saved me $60 from buying the one that supports fuses out of the box (and comes with a pcb I don't need). Also +1 to victron for making it easy to do this on their "non-fused" version

This mod is worth it. I picked up the hardware at the local store for $9.76CAN. Simple way to save about $80.00CAN. It took about 5 minutes to do. Thanks for sharing this hack Nate. ✌️

Great video, I have been watching as many of your Victron videos as I can. I am slowly moving away from Schneider Electric to Victron.

Thanks Nate! I just used your hack because I only needed one mega fuse for my new Victron Multiplus. I already had fuse holders for all my other Victron components! This was so easy with your instructional video and it saved me money. Love your channel and all your hard work is very much appreciated.👍

I have three batteries so I did this hack and used the 4th slot for my main system fuse. Saved a few bucks and this should handle a 400 amp fuse nicely.

This is awesome. I think I will try this option instead of going with the distributor for now.

I’m on this exact part! You literally make it so easy. I thought this would be so stressful but your videos save the day!

I was really impressed by the substantial weight and build quality of the Lynx Distributor when i received it. $200 is a much better option than penny wise pound a premade 5v power adapter would be nice vs having to handycraft one....I am thinking an even better option may be dropping your machine off at Nate's shop.

Just wanted to thank you for making this video. At the beginning of the pandemic I setup solar with a 24v battery bank and 2 victron multiplus inverters. Recently I have been having issues with my fuse holder getting hot and melting the plastic and this video helped me reduce connection points by putting the fuses in the bussbar. So I think my setup is a good bit safer now so thank you very much sir.

Thank you! Doing this mod today.. well technically 3/4 of this mod as the remaining post I am leaving as power in from the battery bank as I am mounting a main fuse closer to the battery

Great video as always! One thing that I would add is to be careful when tightening the 2 nuts holding the Mega fuse. Even with the washer and lock washer, the Mega fuse attachment lugs can have a tendency to rotate and if there is enough rotation, the connection can separate (ask me how I know). I had to go out and purchase another Mega fuse to replace the one that broke. You want the connection to be tight enough but just be aware of the rotation of the fuse!

The parts finally arrived! I had a little trouble with the screws. No idea what it's called, but a tiny cross-shaped bit worked. I'm installing my electrical system this week and I could not have done it without your simple instructs on an insanely complex subject. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 🐶

My best guess for copper lock washers is it prevents damage to other flat surfaces. I have steel lock washers that have gouged out my copper cable lugs in other connections (on terminals where there wasn't enough room for a washer)
