Overview

Fuses are critical in any electrical system and are used to protect a circuit's cabling from excessive current that could lead to damage and, very often, an electrical fire.

choosing the correct fuse is very important. but. which should I use for InLine fuses.

personally, I like to use Midi fuse holder over the cheaper inline blade fuse holders.

Thanks Phil for another great vid. I actually had one do this not too long ago. I had three of them for my driving spot lights and rear camping light all installed by an electrician. The other two were almost about to fail the same way too 😞. So now all replaced with MIDI fuses 😁

Thanks for that info. I am finding then same thing with these fuses holders, they are running to hot. I will give the Midi fuses a try 👍

Out of interest, is there greater electrical resistance, leading to more heat build up, on a blade fuse compared with a maxi fuse of the same capacity?

Hi Phil, what are your thoughts on the kickass 50amp resettable fuse?

Would this work to prevent shock from lightning?

These fuse blocks come standard on the arb twin air compressor harness. They have a 40amp fuse. AND There are two fuse blocks. So would it be safe to modify the original product to a midi connection?

Looks like 100amp cable Wouldn't touch them anything over 30amp fuse

If you installed it right you'll never have a fuse melting the case those are to be used with low amperage by them self if you gonna put some high amp used a 4 or 5 pin relay is with the right amperage is a must and also inline fuse like that one and won't have those problems
