Floyd rose specials... are awesome

haa this is just a quick video about my jackson. I switched out my old crappy licenced under floyd rose. with a new floyd rose special. .. I did film more but i didn't wanna edit it all that much.

The Flyod Rose Special is a real Flyod Rose and it's made in south Korea and south Korea doesn't make junk

If the knife edges were worn and flat, then I would replace the studs as well. I believe they 10mm not sure what the Jackson is, but I believe they are the same. I did this too a longtime ago when I was into Jacksons, just cant remember as it been 20 years lol.

I replaced my Floyd Rose Special on my LTD MH103 with a Floyd Rose Original in Vintage Copper and it is worlds different. So easy to flutter and it just feels smoother. Not to mention when I took off the FRS I noticed significant wear on the knife edges and particularly on the underside of each locking nut block. So I can confirm with experience that FRS is made with cheap, soft metal that will not stand up to even moderate use. I only had about 2 yrs of use before swapping it out.

People look at the price tag and automatically think these are crap. I have an OFR on a Jackson KV2 And a FRS on a cheaper LTD model and after 3 years I still can't tell the difference. The fact he installed it shows he knows more about hardware than 90% of people making bs comments. Good job!

Only problem with the "special" and "FRT-1000" is the fact that they are made out of a lot softer metal, resulting in very muffled tone and attack. You can really feel and hear it when you play your electric guitar acusticly (not plugged in amp). If you wish for tight string attack and snappy, bright tone.... try going with the the Original made in Germany Floyd Rose or Schaller (made by same company). The tuning stability on FRT-1000 and Special is alright, compared to most0 licensed floyds.

Im really changing my rhodes bridge it SUCKS HORRIBLE, gets out of tune and doesnt reach the agressive stuff I like to do with my old guitar with original FR
