Peppermint was the first distro I tried after I abandoned macOS, so I get to thank the Peppermint team for a great gateway to Linux. I had tried some old GNOME, RedHat and Fedora installations, but Peppermint was really the first time I installed Linux in hopes to use it. Glad to see the distro is evolving.

Wow XFCE with NEMO file browser and Debian. You can't beat a combination like that. Love it. Thank you and god bless.

I can't thank enough to the team behind this project who did a great job for coming up this OS. My 11 years old Acer laptop with 1st gen core i5 processor and 4GB ram is running stable like rock solid again. I've tried so many distro for my old laptop, none can compete as peppermint OS. It makes my old laptop usable again.

Peppermint is my 1st Linux distro that I have ever tried. Using a 10 year-old laptop that was strugling with Windows 10. Upgraded the SSD, installed Peppermint 10 and the performace skyrocketed. Currently I am using Zorin OS 16 Lite. Do not know if this new version of Peppermint is worth trying. Watched a review video about it from Switched to Linux... The guy said that the version needs some bug fixing. Probably will wait for some time before I give it a try.

I like their decision to use XFCE and Nemo. I actually run MX with XFCE and hated Thunar. I've always thought Mint's Nemo was the best, but it was a pain to force it as the default on XFCE.

I have been using in now for just under two weeks and it does perform much more briskly than Windows 11. The desktop it runs on is some 8 years old and has half the memory of the modern laptop running Windows 11. Installing it can be a nightmare due to a grub issue. But once it is on, it has many charms to admire and enjoy.

Dude, I have been looking for a real lightweight linux distro for my laptop, a HP i5 + 8GB RAM + Hybrid GPUs Intel and Radeon with 4GB.
It came shipped with *Windows 10* and was the Father of Eternity to boot up.
I tested *Ubuntu Mate* and it took between 1min:58sec up to 2min:2sec to boot up.
Afterwards I tested *Xubuntu* and it took 1min:30sec to boot up.
Yesterday I tested *Linux Mint XFCE* and it was taking 58sec to boot up.
Today, because of your video, I will download *Peppermint OS 11* and test it. And I really hope it overcome *Linux Mint XFCE* because I really need a real lightweight disto to speed up my computer.

Linux literally gets better by the hour. My view of it from just 6 months ago, are vastly different. Especially in gaming. Steam performance is within 1 to 4 frames difference from windows for me.And if you like to emulate console games it's much better.

peppermint os is the first linux distro i tried to download, it worked at first except my hard drive didn’t have enough storage to download the entire thing and there was a kernel error so i went back to windows 8.1, i’ll try to download it again some time during the summer while i don’t have school
