Honestly Redcorn is the most fascinating subversion of cliché. His affair has caused him to have the lifelong agony of never being able to have a normal father/son relationship with his child, reinforcing the fact that EVERYBODY suffers because of infidelity, not just the person being cuckholded. As others have pointed out the fact that Joseph vastly prefers his “stepfather” to his biological father would make it hurt even worse

I have never once felt bad for John Redcorn. If you wanted a son you shouldn't have been a douche and had an affair for 14 years with another man's wife. Any man can father a child, it takes a real man to be a dad.

The true irony is that Dale actually was an amazing father to Joseph. He encouraged Joseph to be his own person, supported him no matter what, and showed that blood doesn't make a family, it's who sticks by you that makes one.

Hell, Dale even helped John Redcorn with reparations from the government! Dale maybe a conspiracy nut but he knew what you had to do to properly screw with the government legally.

I have never felt sorry for John Redcorn. Joseph might be his biological son, but Dale is the boy's father. Dale is the one who raised him. Dale is the one who treated him like a son. You don't get to secretly watch someone from afar and then just Ramdomly claim that you want your son back, because he was never your son to begin with. John ticked me off so much during this episode, claiming that the white man stole what was rightfully his, getting constantly told that what your ancestors did doesn't define you, and then unable to take it when Bobby calls him a cannibal.
